PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Credit Risk Manager is responsible for a credit portfolio within the designated regions. #CD# This includes assessing and managing credit risk associated with the wholesale power and gas activities, including trading and origination, as well as managing retail power and gas credit issues for the retail supply business. #CD# As a member of the credit organization, this position will require a thorough understanding of the physical and financial products offered by the Company and the marketplace in order to properly assess and monitor counterparty credit/risk issues.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

1#CD# Assess the credit worthiness of customers and trading counterparties, and monitor current and potential exposures.

2#CD# Negotiate credit terms and conditions within customer and wholesale commodity contracts.

3#CD# Coordinate with the margining and treasury teams on counterpart collateral including cash, letters of credit and parental guarantees. #CD# Also coordinates effectively with Receivables team to monitor aged receivables to ensure timely collection.

5#CD# Assist on presentations to Senior Management that include credit decisions and recommendations, while highlighting top credit risks within the organization.

6#CD# Manages credit relationships with assigned counterparties, Regional Transmission Organizations, and Gas Pipelines.

7#CD# Coordinate, maintain, and help implement improved reporting and functionality of Credit Risk systems.


POSITION SPECIFICATIONS

Minimum:

&bull#CD# BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related degree

&bull#CD# At least 8 years of experience in a business related field, including 3 years in key leadership role(s) with a track record of being influential at the business unit level and in the overall development of credit risk systems and metrics for a significant corporation

&bull#CD# Understanding of Mark to Market calculations and valuations of forward contract positions

&bull#CD# Knowledge of credit and risk management fundamentals.

&bull#CD# Understanding of financial and wholesale energy trading markets.

&bull#CD# Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with ability to handle multiple duties

&bull#CD# Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with commercial and functional partners, external counterparties, vendors, and senior level executives within Risk and Finance.

&bull#CD# Must be self motivated and possess excellent time management skills

&bull#CD# Strong computer and spreadsheet modeling skills

&bull#CD# Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced energy commodity trading environment.

Preferred:

&bull#CD# MBA, MSF, FRM, CPA, or CFA

&bull#CD# Completion of formal credit training program

Qualifications

A Credit Risk Manager is closely aligned with the business and functional leaders throughout the organization, and is expected to foster and maintain strong working partnerships with their respective peers. � Through its interaction with Corporate Accounting, Corporate Treasury and Corporate Risk, this function provides valuable insight and reports to ensure the financial viability of the Corporation. � Decisions made and recommended by this person can substantially impact the bottom line of the organization and are expected to reflect the risk profile set forth by the Risk Management Committee. � Next to the origination group, this group has the highest level of interaction with Exelon's major customers, thus is able to influence external opinion. � The position has sufficient credit authority to approve the majority of the credit requests in the region. � An incumbent will:

'�establish counterparty/customer limits and monitor exposure to ensure compliance with credit policy and specific counterparty credit terms
(including margining requirements)

'�negotiate credit terms and conditions, participate in conference calls to assess counterparty credit worthiness, perform customer visits

'�provide Credit Workout with early warning of potential high risk counterparties / customers, assist in risk mitigation activities

'�maintain Risk data system and reporting integrity

'�ensure accuracy of external and internal reporting and disclosures

'�participate in conference calls with upper management of customers- limited interaction with Senior Management on all credit/risk issues, including risk committee and transaction approval meetings

'�rigorously follow the credit process in all transactions and derive creative solutions and structures in managing multiple risks associated with a multi-billion dollar portfolio
