Lead activities relating to designing, building, testing, implementing and maintaining solutions, products and processes. Provide IT teams and business personnel with technology solutions by evaluating technology standards, market availability of products, risks and benefits of technology to deliver solutions that meet business/IT needs. Coordinate the tasks of less experienced engineers and collaborate across teams as needed. Independence level: Works independently with minimal guidance. Works closely with scrum masters, project managers, QA, Creative, and UX team members to ensure compliance with project needs.


Your role will be centered on the development and improvement of new and existing features. Additionally, you will be reviewing the code of your peers, advocating for standard development methodologies, and participating in an inclusive, energetic and highly cross-functional team. The role encompasses architect, design, implementation, and testing to ensure building products right and to release them with high quality.


  • Leverage Oracle SOA Suite of products to design and build integrations between various systems both internal as well as external vendor systems.
  • Design and build integrations using Oracle OSB, SOA, ODI and MFT.
  • Assist in architectural directions, discussions and decisions surrounding the Enterprise Integration reference architecture.
  • Undertakes complex assignments and/or projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge and develops practical, workable, and cost-effective solutions to business problems to satisfy client requirements. 
  • Frequently aids/mentors less experienced personnel.
  • Maintain and enhance engagement with business, IT partners and other stakeholders. 
  • Consults and/or actively participates in the management and optimization of computing resources which could involve multiple functional areas.
  • Establish positive team environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel. Provide performance and development feedback as required.   
  • Effectively researches, analyzes, and identifies current and emerging technology trends/products/concepts that can improve the team’s or client’s business process.
  • Perform analysis and provide technical recommendation to IT teams and business personnel to meet business/IT needs.
  • Build and maintain knowledge of new technologies or technology opportunities and assist in analysis of their use for business and/or IT clients.
  • Find areas for improvement in process and quality.
  • Contribute to coding guidelines pertaining to style, functionality, readability and ease of maintainability.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.



  • Maintain deep knowledge of technology and its application across our business areas or for our customers
  • Promote knowledge via seminars, presentations and publications within IT and Exelon
  • Participate in technological innovation to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems
  • Shape and advance core team processes to increase operational efficiency and quality.
  • Coach and lead other engineers assigned to their product or project team.
  • Considered highly skilled and proficient in discipline. Conducts complex, important work under minimal supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment.




  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline and typically 5 to 8 years’ experience in maintaining integrations/applications or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Work experience with Oracle SOA Suite – OSB, SOA, ODI, MFT
  • Experience with building integration solutions using JDeveloper IDE
  • Appropriate technical skills to analyze data and evaluate solutions.  Ability to design, build and test applications.
  • Strong problem solving and analysis ability 
  • Excellent communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with remote project teams


  • Experience working within an Agile methodology
  • Strong knowledge of integration architecture and experience developing complex integration solution involving multi business units and geographical locations, leveraging version control and coding standards
  • Familiarity with Oracle databases, SQL Developer, FTP, HP's PPM/EDMs/PCRs, HP's ALM
  • Strong knowledge of business practices and processes in Customer Information Systems
  • Utilize understanding of customer's business needs to determine requirements
  • As assigned, manage working relationship with outsourcing partners
  • Utility Industry experience is a plus
  • Applies technical expertise to plan, design, build or support required products and processes.  These include:


  • SQL and SQLDeveloper
  • HTML / XML
  • REST/SOAP Web Services
