PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
The Senior Quantitative Developer will implement, deliver and maintain
quantitative solutions (products and processes) within our Wholesale Platform
through all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle as a senior member of an
Agile Delivery Team.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provide technical expertise and engineering support for our Wholesale platform, an end to end business stack from sales through accounting, built around our core Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM), Endur.
Utilize quantitative, business, and financial knowledge in conjunction with technical expertise to support existing, and develop new complex valuation, data and analytic functions within the Wholesale energy trading practice in Exelon.
Collaborate directly and closely with business resources, architects, and infrastructure colleagues to produce practical and resilient solutions to support the business through changing market conditions
Refine, optimize, and automate technical batch and manual business processes to improve consistency, accuracy and speed of daily and real time valuation, data, and reporting
Utilize breadth of programming languages and tools, including C#, Python, C++, Matlab and others as needed to implement solutions directly
Maintain and enhance partnership and collaboration with business and technical counterparts
Build and maintain knowledge of new technologies or technology opportunities and assist in analysis of their use for business and/or IT clients.
Provide leadership, training and mentorship to less experienced personnel.
Work as part of an Agile Delivery Team and participate in all Scrum ceremonies such as Daily Standup, Sprint Planning, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective. Contribute to ongoing team improvement and iterative learning.
Apply and verify compliance with applicable standards and documentation as defined within Exelon’s Management Model.
POSITION SCOPE:
Apply quantitative analysis and expertise to deliver technology solutions
Maintain deep knowledge of technology and its application across Exelon
Promote knowledge via seminars, presentations and publications within IT and Exelon
Participate in technological innovation to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems
Independence level: Works with minimal supervision. May assist in the coordination of tasks for others
Qualifications
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science, Math, Physics or equivalent and typically 5-8 plus years’ experience in IT or quantitative analytics functions
Demonstrates strong software development and business analysis capabilities coupled with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated strong teamwork skills with self-motivation to achieve success in a rapidly evolving environment.
Excellent communications skills - Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal).
Strong understanding of advanced programming concepts, data structure and algorithms, mathematics
PREFERRED:
Strong analytics knowledge/experience in the areas of financial products, risk management/risk measures and market knowledge in a commodity operations environment
Prior experience developing software requirements, designing conceptual data models & system architecture, and user interfaces, etc. is a major plus
Prior experience of ETRM systems, Endur in particular
