Primary Purpose of Position
 

Provide technical knowledge and expertise to support delivery and maintenance of IT solutions under the guidance of a Technical Analyst, Lead Analyst, or Manager.  Perform activities related to testing, implementing, and maintaining solutions for products and processes. Works under general supervision.

 
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
 

Perform, document and assist in planning work activities relating to small projects, sub-projects, or process improvements.

 

For daily operations: enhance, maintain or support existing IT products and processes to the defined service level agreement

 

For projects and sub-projects: analyze requirements, design, build, and test IT software solutions

 
Maintain engagement with business and IT partners.
 
Assist less experienced personnel.
 

Maintain technical knowledge and business acumen within own discipline or function and continue to manage their professional development

 

Drive innovation across the organization by identifying and providing analysis of trends and issues with the goal to drive new business opportunities and solve complex business problems.

 
Ability to provide on-call support after normal business hours



Qualifications

Position Specifics

 
Minimum:
 

Bachelor’s degree and typically 2 to 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience

 
Strong problem-solving skills
 

Excellent communication skills – Able to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology (written and verbal)

 

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities, based on business needs

 
Preferred:
 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred

 

Basic understanding of cyber security practices

 
Basic understanding of firewalls
 

Basic PC trouble shooting & operating system knowledge

 
Knowledge of Industrial Defender SIEM
 
Security Plus training
 
Position Scope
 

Basic knowledge and understanding of Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cyber security requirements and regulations under 10 CFR 73.54

 

As assigned, work effectively with other departments

 
Performs this service in support of Nuclear
 
Promotes and shares professional knowledge via seminars, presentations, and publications within your community (i.e. department, peers, educational institutions), as required
