JOB EXPECTATION:

PURPOSE:


- Coordinate and oversee the portfolio of projects and key initiatives across Corporate and Information Security Services (CISS)
- Engage project owners and leadership to support initial project evaluations and business case development
- Coordinate the project review and approval process, obtaining approval sign-offs
- Manage large-scale projects of high complexity, size and change management risk
- Plan and manage project resources, schedule, finances, scope, and services within budget to deliver business results; use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes
- Measure and present portfolio and project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation
- Provide security products, services, and solutions on time, within budget and with required functionality
- Establish, maintain and enhance relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Develop project budgets and forecasts for projects and initiatives; develop business planning inputs for projects and related resource requirements
- Develop and implement strategies and policies
- Manage relationships with business clients, ensure business processes and requirements are identified and well understood, facilitate committees and forums that drive delivery of projects

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:


- Lead and manage projects of medium to high complexity. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and with the highest quality deliverables.  Coordinate and manage staff and resources in accordance with business plan and project portfolio.  Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with project management standards. Develop project requirements, budgets, and schedules, and facilitate requirements meeting.  Establish milestones, anticipate issues and monitor adherence to project scope, schedule, requirements, and design documents. Maintain project documentation
- Oversee and manage the portfolio of projects and initiatives across CISS; contribute significantly to the development of LRP business planning, budgeting processes, and forecasting processes, and the generation and presentation of project status update reporting
- Utilize standard processes as defined within the Management Model.  Oversee process improvement efforts to ensure the adoption of standard processes and procedures that deliver sustainable cost and performance levels
- Establish, maintain, and enhance relationships with business, IT, security, and other practice area partners.  Communicate status to key stakeholders on a regular basis, escalating risks appropriately
- Foster a positive team environment by proactively assisting and training less experienced personnel.  Promote diversity, inclusion, teamwork, collaboration, and a learning organization.  Participate in career development and succession planning processes.  Provide input on development and retention strategies for employees

 

SCOPE:
- Utilize understanding of customers’ business needs to determine requirements and help set direction
- Mentor junior team members in appropriate project management practices and principles
- Interface with security management, directors, and staff
- Manage project budgets
- Work without any supervision

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:


Minimum:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8 years of experience in project management or related technical specialties
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Strong knowledge of security business practices and processes
- 4 years of experience in leading and managing projects or sub-teams
- Knowledge of project management applications, practices and techniques
- Experience with negotiations and vendor management
- Experience leading and managing technical personnel
- Strong judgment and excellent analytical ability
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively with organization and vendors

 

Preferred:
- Advanced degree
- Additional project management certifications
