The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Manager is primarily responsible for supporting the PHI ERM Director in focused risk assessments, analysis of emerging risk trends, and capital project risk analysis. In addition, as member of the Enterprise Risk team, the ERM Manager will assist in the governing and overseeing the credit and collection practices and performing all credit related activities in the electric and gas procurement and choice programs at PHI. Responsibilities will include assessing, analyzing, and mitigating PHI credit matters as it relates to electric, renewable energy credit and gas suppliers, and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) customers. This includes the performing of the mark to market and margining process associated with the electric procurements across all PHI jurisdictions. A significant amount of the position’s time and responsibility will also be focused on analyzing PHI C&I customers’ creditworthiness in order to recommend deposits on customers to PHI Revenue Management.


Support ERM Director at PHI on various ERM initiatives including, but not limited to, Focused Risk Assessments, emerging risk trends/events, capital project reviews, business plan support.

Work directly with utility revenue management groups to ensure effective monitoring of the creditworthiness of all C&I customers and recommend deposits, where applicable.

Perform the mark to market and margining process and support credit related activities associated with gas/electric procurements and customer choice programs at PHI.

Assist in the development of Risk Management Committee presentations at PHI that include ERM and credit decisions and recommendations, while highlighting top risks within the organization.



•BS in Accounting, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related degree
•At least 7-10 years of experience in the power/gas or utility business
•Significant knowledge of the electric/gas utility business model
•Advanced understanding of Mark to Market calculations and valuations of forward contract positions
•Strong understanding of financial and wholesale energy trading markets and the utility regulatory construct
•Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills with ability to handle multiple duties
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with utility, corporate, and functional partners, external counterparties, vendors, and senior level executives within the organization
•Must be self-motivated, directed, and possess excellent time management skills
•Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

•Regulatory or rate making experience at a public utility
•Completion of formal credit training program
•Assisted in the overall development of credit risk systems and metrics for a significant corporation
•Thorough knowledge of credit and risk management fundamentals
•Credit and Collections experience
