PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position is responsible for the development and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives. This position will report to the Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Work with the Director, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion to develop and implement training and education for leaders and employees in order to facilitate an inclusive working environment; partner with HR operations/TMOD to ensure appropriate communication and alignment with leadership development initiatives. (20%)
- Assist in developing and driving strategic initiatives, policies, systems and processes for the business services and operating companies in support of the overall strategic diversity, equity & inclusion strategy. Lead and/or support project teams for the development and implementation of enterprise-wide initiatives and programs. Assist with developing and managing diversity dashboard. (30%)
- Engage, support and devleop leaders, diversity councils and employee resource groups in driving awareness, adoption and implementation of diversity, equity and inclusion strategic initiatives. (30%)
- Research and recommend best practices as related to enterprise wide responsibilities based on internal assessments and external research. Support external outreach to the community at-large promoting the company's diversity efforts. (20%)
JOB SCOPE
- Operates independently with minimal direction from manager.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations,TMOD, Employee Resource Groups and Diversity Councils and leaders to drive corporate diversity and inclusion strategies through operating companies and the business services company.
- Focus is on project management, execution, leadership, decision-making, sound judgment, analytical thinking, influence, priority management.
- Interacts with client/site VPs and Key Managers.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree plus eight years of experience in Human Resources, Business or a related field or equivalent.
- Strong project management skills and ability to operate independently with minimal direction from manager. Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Ability to organize, analyze and translate data to provide insights.
- Ability to interface with all levels of management, influence leadership behavior, establish trust, build consensus and communicate effectively.
- Ability to effectively partner with HR team, diversity councils and employee resource groups to increase involvement and engagement in building an inclusive environment.
- Demonstrated personal drive and sense of urgency pushing self and others for results; delivers on results despite obstacles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including presentations to internal and external audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate degree in HR, Organizational Development, Business or related field.
- Demonstrated implementation of diversity and inclusion programs.
- Working knowledge of affirmative action principles and regulations.
- Experience in HR-related functions that include management/leadership development and talent review.
- Demonstrated orientation to understanding the business and business strategy, and the ability to apply talent management processes and tools to support strategic business objectives
- Proven coaching and influence skills.
