Primary Purpose
Within the Office of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the IT Talent, Change & Engagement Director will lead a team of subject matter experts responsible for: (1) planning and delivering IT’s Talent & Learning Strategy, including employee engagement and culture initiatives, workforce planning, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts, training, onboarding and leadership development initiatives; (2) leading an Organizational Change Management center of excellence focused on enabling the success of the IT portfolio and the adoption of continuous improvement efforts by delivering change management strategies and building change management capability; and (3) driving Strategic Communications, including internal employee communications and expansion of IT’s social media presence.
This leader will need to develop and maintain strategic partnerships with Human Resources (HR), Information Technology (IT) & Corporate Communications leaders across Exelon and must be effective in communicating and influencing at an executive leadership level. They will partner with these groups in the development and delivery of an integrated talent and learning strategy that meets the needs of IT employees across Exelon throughout the full employee lifecycle. Through leadership of change management, communications, and employee engagements efforts this Director will be responsible for driving the IT experience for all Exelon employees. This is a highly visible role that will be involved in enabling the strategic direct of the IT organization.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities
IT Talent Strategy Development (retention and acquisition):
Partner across IT to understand the talent, capability and workforce needs necessary to operationalize the IT strategy
Develop the vision, talent strategy and execution plan for building a robust pipeline of diverse talent across IT
Collaborate with senior leaders across IT and HR to design and deliver talent and workforce solutions to build and enhance the IT talent pipeline, including: talent assessment, talent acquisition, onboarding, learning and accelerated development, talent movement and rotations, diversity and inclusion and retention strategies
Leverage workforce analytics to identify and bring forth key talent insights to the IT leadership team. Monitor IT workforce trends and recommend solutions to critical issues
Provide governance, oversight and leadership coaching on talent related topics and initiatives across IT, ensuring talent initiatives are linked to and advance our IT priorities
Design and deliver programs and initiatives that align with and enable Exelon’s DEI efforts and drive engagement through positive employee experiences across IT
IT Organization Change Management (OCM)
Lead a team of change managers to create, maintain and drive change management strategies and plans for high-impact IT projects
Support in measuring the adoption and impact of transformation efforts across IT
Develop change management competency among IT leaders and project teams through role modeling, use of standard OCM methodology & OCM training and interventions
Apply a robust and diverse set of OCM best practices and proven methodologies, incorporating agility into innovative recommendations
Evaluate the effectiveness of applied change solutions and drive continuous improvement in OCM practices
Coach executive IT leaders around effectively driving and sponsoring change
IT Communication & Social-Media
Develop and drive effective internal communication strategies and campaigns to drive change adoption across Exelon for IT efforts and cultivate engagement within IT
Collaborate with IT leaders and Corporate Communications partners to drive engagement through effective and impactful internal communication within IT
Develop, manage, and publish IT communications that resonate with target audiences using diverse and innovative communication formats and methods including email announcements, videos, presentations, social media posts, meetings/webinars, infographics, etc.
Streamline communications requests to deliver high-quality communications in an efficient and timely manner
Monitor communication effectiveness and continuously improve upon strategy, delivery and partnerships to drive improved results
