Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
-Manage, plan, organize, lead and control the systems, processes, and activities of the Billing department to maintain and deliver optimum quality service to customers, maximize employee productivity and profitability to the Company.
-Establish work plans and operating procedures to drive toward reduced costs, minimized billing exceptions, a reduction in the number of bill adjustments, automated manual billing processes, and tightened financial controls. Concurrently maintain a positive impact on the meter-to-market cycle and an increase in customer satisfaction.
-Day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring timely and accurate billing, manual production of complex bills, timely processing of bill exceptions, and adjustments, and corrections. Budget, personnel, business processes and overall performance for the department. Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Provide direction and monitoring of the daily workflow of the Billing department. Establish standards, direct programs in cost control, safety and attendance.
-Manage, collaborate with, develop, evaluate and instruct supervisors and other management personnel in the Billing department. Build supervision and subject matter expert talent within the department.
-Provide day-to-day operational direction with a focus on internal and external process improvements to optimize financials and staffing, and reduce inflow and cycle time of exception tasks.
-Compile, interpret, and furnish data in conjunction with personnel, audit, and performance accountability reports.
-Maintain visibility and direction for the workforce. If applicable, reconcile Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) differences between management and bargaining unit.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
-Bachelors degree + 8 to 10 years experience
-Career level experience of 5 to 8 years in Customer Service business unit. Familiarity with electric (and gas) rates.
-Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills. Ability to reach agreement across departmental boundaries.
-Computer literacy required and general understanding of customer information systems
-Good oral and written communication skills. Strong analytical skills. A technical and financial aptitude.
-General knowledge of employee related procedures, policies and processes (and collective bargaining agreement).

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Provide deep technical expertise to support the reliable operations of the Smart Grid Distribution Automation network. Engage with other internal support organizations and external vendors to resolve issues in the Silver Spring Networks Distribution Automation (SSN DA) environment. Actively pursue permanent solutions in order to increase overall reliability of the Smart Grid SSN DA network. 1. Provide technical expertise and/or operational support for maintaining performance and reliability of the Smart Grid SSN DA network. Interface with outside vendors, IT, and ComEd business resources to resolve Smart Grid network related issues. Contribute to operational process design, development, and implementation. Lead the planning and execution of upgrades to the existing DA network environment.
2. Assist IT Architecture and Engineering community in planning the implementation of new technologies from an operational support standpoint. Ensure that new Smart Grid network technology implementations are integrated into our operational support model as they transition to run mode.
3. Build relationships with Smart Grid DA and IT support teams across Exelon to leverage their knowledge in order to help ComEd improve its own operational effectiveness. Build and maintain knowledge of Smart Grid DA network technologies in use across Exelon Utilities, and assist in evaluating their use for ComEd¿s DA environment.

Department Information
The Cornerstone Program is an intense 19 week training program for all First Line Supervisors in the area of Construction & Maintenance and Field Operations within Distribution Operations. The training will cover a variety of areas of managing union employees, safety, environmental health, our administrative computer systems and provide the necessary tools to be a successful first line supervisor out in the field managing the overhead, underground and electrical journeyman crews. The training will be 50% based in Oakbrook and 50% in the regions to get hands on experience. Heavy travel will be involved as each candidate will rotate through the regions during training and will ultimately be assigned to one region as their final placement, if the employee successfully completes the training program. The regions encompass the entire ComEd service territory and can include Rockford, Dixon, Crestwood, University Park, Joliet, Libertyville, and the entire city of Chicago. Final assignments are determined by business needs so employees may be assigned to any ComEd location. To be considered for this intensive program, we are seeking the following candidate profiles meeting the job requirements listed below. External applicants who apply must have a resume attached to be considered. External applicants must have previous supervisory experience (according to the minimum requirements) and preferably utility experience or very senior leadership experience (managing large crews with performance manaement/development; budget; scope and span of projects in the field). PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Develops studies, plans, criteria, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, performance assessments, integrated systems analysis, cost estimates, budgets, associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of Exelon¿s electric generation, transmission, distribution, gas and telecommunication facilities/systems. Provides analytical support and consultation and recommendations to the Company within and to other business units and/or customers as a result of studying company or customer-owned systems, processes, equipment, vehicles or facilities. Reviews financial data for budget and actual costs of projects.

Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
-Leads and performs engineering assignments associated with critical engineering projects or a number of small projects with many complex features require extensive company experience.

POSITION SPECIFICATIONS
Minimum:
-Bachelors degree in a technical field (non-engineer) (1) or equivalent relevant education / experience (See Section Below) (2) AND 6 or more years of field experience in engineering, construction, or applicable utility experience
-Ability to analyze and interpret electrical and mechanical systems.
-Knowledge and ability to apply problem-solving approaches.
-Knowledge of construction, operations or engineering principles and practices.
-Broad knowledge and experience with regulations, guides, standards, codes, methods, and practices necessary to perform routine assignments for a specific discipline installations, or service.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
- The Senior Process Improvement Specialist will have leadership responsibility for system-wide implementation of performance improvement initiatives such as the Exelon Way savings targets, targeted benchmarking initiatives and process re-design to achieve first quartile performance. These initiatives require line management and craft involvement. Senior Process Improvement Specialists must coordinate and project manage the team activities with Vice- Presidents, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, and Craft employees. Typically these initiatives have high-level sponsorship and are directly related to delivering key business goals in safety, productivity, and human performance. Second-level supervisory experience in the line organization is key to leading and implementing the best solution.
- The Senior Process Improvement Specialist has the overall leadership responsibility for the initiation, research, development and approval of benchmarking analysis and best practices analysis to support various company Operations functional areas. The Senior Process Improvement Specialist works collaboratively and proactively with line personnel, management and other utilities to compile, research, evaluate and recommend business practices and processes that enhance overall safety, increase productivity and reduce costs and target world class business goals. The Senior Process Improvement Specialist will facilitate the process improvement and high performance processes for the initial stages through implementation.
